Mercator Risk Services is a wholesale broker which acquired Tennant Risk Services in 2008. Tennant Risk Services was a wholesale underwriting manager and broker specializing in professional liability insurance, including Errors & Omissions (E&O), Directors & Officers (D&O) and Employment Practices Liability (EPL) insurance in all states. The Tennant Risk Services team operates as the MercatorPro division of Mercator Risk Services.

Tennant Capital Partners is a venture capital firm focused within the insurance sector, with an emphasis on specialty insurance organizations involved in the distribution, assumption and management of risk.

The Specialty Insurance Blog is managed by Bob Sargent, former President of Tennant Risk Services. Bob is currently Executive Vice President of Mercator Risk Services and Managing Partner of Tennant Capital Partners. Posts are written by Bob, Mercator staff and other contributors. Bob is involved with a number of professional insurance organizations, including the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and NAPSLO (the insurance wholesale organization). He is also involved with Outward Bound, Hartford Hospital and the Boy and Girls Club of Hartford.
