A survey of 6,000 insurance agents concluded that regional insurers were easier to do business with (see here and here). The study was conducted by Deep Customer Connections, who concluded that ease of doing business is an effective differentiator for insurers even if price, product and commissions are basic requirements.
The survey concludes that ease of doing business is critically important for agents and is not being met by insurers. Other findings:
