Cyber attacks have dramatically increased during the pandemic, with the shift to work from home offering another attack vector for criminals, according to the FBI (see here, here). The FBI recently noted that the number of attacks has quadrupled during the pandemic.
Work from home (WFH) has contributed to vulnerabilities (here) as IT security professionals have been under pressure to respond quickly to most if not all employees shifting to WFH. And employees are working from networks with less or even little protections (here).
While it is likely too early to see claim trends, speculation is that Cyber Risk Insurance claims are climbing and the exposure is evolving with the increasing cyber attacks (here, here).
